Yet Heather stood before two thousand people on a Sunday morning and shared a story of incredible pain and suffering and received a standing ovation. We expected to hear a word of restoration and forgiveness. However, we received so much more. There was not one woman in attendance [at our women's retreat] that did not connect to Heather in one way or another. Her transparency and realness made us all feel as if we were sharing in a sister's burden and healing. Heather took as much time as needed to speak with each woman that needed to unload her burden as well. She truly felt like one of us, and we loved her as if she was.
