Heather Gemmen Wilson was the featured speaker at our annual women's retreat. Our audience was approximately 400 women. Heather met all our expectations and more. She dynamically told her difficult story with taste and dignity. Her message was that God restored her hurt body and soul and redeemed her love for mankind whatever their color. The focus was on restoration rather than on the betrayals she experienced. Our committee would heartily recommend Heather as a speaker to any group open to hearing the restorative power of God.

Heather has a compelling and even a frightening story, yet her total confidence in God and his grace puts folks at ease and compels them to consider the gospel truth that 'all things work together for good for those who are called according to his purposes,' (Romans 8:28). We were very pleased with her presentation. The banquet grossed a new record in donations.

We expected to hear a word of restoration and forgiveness. However, we received so much more. There was not one woman in attendance [at our women's retreat] that did not connect to Heather in one way or another. Her transparency and realness made us all feel as if we were sharing in a sister's burden and healing. Heather took as much time as needed to speak with each woman that needed to unload her burden as well. She truly felt like one of us, and we loved her as if she was.
